Guides
Every install guide out there — ours included — starts the same way: connect your data source. That assumes something. It assumes you already have permission to see your client's Google Analytics, their Search Console, their Ads account.
You usually don't, not on day one. Getting that access is its own small project: figuring out exactly what to ask for, wording the request so a non-technical client doesn't panic and ignore it, and knowing what "enough access" actually looks like so you're not stuck going back and forth for a week. These guides cover that step — the one every other install guide skips because it assumes you've already solved it.
Request GA4 accessThe exact email to send a client asking for view-only Google Analytics access, plus the click path they'll follow.Request Search Console accessAsk for Restricted User access to a client's Search Console property without triggering a week of back-and-forth.Request Google Ads accessRead-only Google Ads access, requested either as a direct invite or a manager-account (MCC) link — both covered.Access checklistConfirm access actually landed, in under 30 seconds per source, before you spend an hour building a report against it.Client report shows no dataA report that worked fine last month is suddenly blank. Here's the symptom-to-fix table for every common cause.
These guides ship inside every AgencyWorks template as the Client Onboarding Kit.
